FamilyOS is a private, self-hosted household organiser. Connecting a Google account is optional and is used only to provide calendar functions requested by authorised household members.
With permission, FamilyOS accesses the connected Google account identifier and email address, calendar lists and selected calendar events, including titles, times, descriptions, locations and recurrence details. It requests permission to create, edit and delete Google Calendar events when authorised users choose those actions.
Selected calendar events are synchronised to the household's self-hosted database to display calendars and reminders. Google access and refresh tokens are stored encrypted on the household server. Other authorised household members or configured shared displays may see calendar information according to FamilyOS settings.
FamilyOS does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising. If the household administrator configures external reminder or notification destinations, calendar-related notifications may be sent to those selected services.
You can disconnect your Google account through FamilyOS settings or revoke its access in your Google account settings. Disconnecting stops further synchronisation and removes stored Google authorisation tokens; previously synchronised events may remain in the local household database until removed by the household administrator. Ask your household administrator to remove retained data.
